Working Up The Crowd With Scott
Featuring Scott Cook
Prairie Balladeer
February 11, 2013
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Scott is a full-time DIY troubadour who’s spent most of the last seven years on the road around Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. He’s performed in concert halls, festivals, living rooms, yards, restaurants, bars, bookstores, schools, village halls, breweries, churches, parks, streetcars, garages, squats, campgrounds, hotel rooms, barns, and at least one international airport. Occasionally, when he’s around Edmonton (the town he’s still proud to call home), he hosts a Monday night open stage at Duggan’s Boundary (formerly Devaney’s) Irish Pub, where this shot was taken.

If you look closely at the photo, someone is finger-gunning the camera.
In a former life, he taught kindergarten for six years in Taiwan.
Since leaving the classroom, he’s released four albums independently, and manages to take his music to world while living out of a backpack or his well-appointed minivan, Old Blue.
He’s a true believer in the power of words and music to open hearts and minds, and the potential of the human race to save itself from itself through peace-making, community-building, love, and compassion.
He likes a good hike, a good whiskey, and a good story, and he’s honoured to play a bit part in the story of Miguelito’s Little Green Car.
Several people in the back left have been part of Miguelito’s Little Green Car over the years.
