The story
Ian says this:
I’m just a Scotsman sharing his passion for the finest whisky in world and the finest country in the world with as many people as possible. Smile, laugh, enjoy a dram and have a good time. It’s your life so make the most of it.
Fun facts
His chosen sport is clay target shooting. He has been “lucky enough” to represent and captain his country.
His favourite of The Glenlivet core range is the 18 year old, “as anyone who knows me will testify but the 12 year old offer peace of mind. It doesn’t matter where I am in the world I know I will find it in a bar somewhere.”
He loves where he lives and everything around him “with a passion”. He regularly sees eagles, grouse, deer, otters (only 100 meters from his office), mountain hares, falcons, among others including the biggest Bottlenose dolphins in the world just off the coast of Scotland in Moray Firth.
Ian tells a story of sampling a whiskey from the late 1800s! Take that, 12 year old!
He has been to over 50 countries around the world — with the support of his partner Jenni and her son Tomas. Oh, and Hamish and Maisie, their two ginger cats.
Someone once wrote that “if you can do something every day that you love, you will never work a day in your life”. Says Ian, “I am there and so grateful for that.”
