A Grade 2 class in Okotoks, Alberta has read the book entitled Flat Stanley as a novel study. In the story Flat Stanley is flattened by a bulletin board, but isn’t hurt. His parents send him in an envelope to California to visit friends. Flat Stanley has now been sent to us by my great niece’s teacher so that he can visit and learn about our community. Once we have taken pictures of Flat Stanley at various locations I am to write a story about his visit and his adventures and, along with the pictures, send this back to the school where the students will plot all the places he visited and share the stories. I am quite excited to be able to tell the tale of the little green car. I think the kids will absolutely love this.

[info]This photo came about through happenstance. I happened to bump into Linda and Fay as they were giggling and taking photos of Flat Stanley. A few minutes later and — voilà — the journeys of Flat Stanley and Miguelito’s Little Green Car are now intertwined.[/info]
