Based in Regina, Christy is a meteorologist at CBC Saskatchewan<\/a>. Although the weather has always fascinated her, she came into the weather world from an interesting direction. Christy got her private pilot’s licence when she was 19 and then received a science degree with a specialization in Atmospheric Sciences<\/a> from the University of Alberta. <\/p>\n

Christy began her career among the polar bear licence plates<\/a> of Yellowknife. She worked as a broadcast meteorologist for three years in the north before moving to the prairies with her husband Chris, dog Maggie and ridiculous cat Ace. <\/p>\n

Whenever she goes to a theatre to watch a horror movie, she always takes an aisle seat. She competed in slo-pitch nationals in Niagara Falls, Ontario. (Yes, that’s a thing. One of her favourite things is Facetimeing her niece Ellie.
