In addition to <a href=\"http:\/\/coteaubooks.com\/index.php?p=Books&amp;listingid=91\"><em>Morningstar: A Warrior&#8217;s Spirit<\/em><\/a>, she has previously published one non-fiction children\u2019s book,\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Fort-Chipewyan-Homecoming-Journey-Native\/dp\/0822597314\">Fort Chipewayan Homecoming<\/a><\/em>, which was a finalist in the Silver Birch young reader\u2019s choice award in Ontario. She has also had poetry published in the\u00a0<em>Gatherings Anthology <\/em>series. She has done extensive acting work in film, television, radio and on the stage.\u00a0 Born in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Uranium_City,_Saskatchewan\">Uranium City, Saskatchewan<\/a>, Morningstar Mercredi has lived in Alberta \u2013 Fort Chipewayan, Calgary, and Fort McMurray; Saskatchewan \u2013 Saskatoon and Prince Albert; British Columbia \u2013 Cranbrook, Kimberly, Merritt, Penticton, and Surrey; and the Northwest Territories. She also settled for a time in Gisbourne, New Zealand, and Nowra, Australia.
