The story
After spending the morning in a city council meeting debating spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a city-building project, Don was five minutes late to our photo shoot. He apologized for running behind. Although I appreciate the refreshing lack of self-importance, this little car doesn’t have feelings that bruise easily.
Fun facts
Don went on to become Mayor of the City of Edmonton in October 2013. Most political observers attribute his success to this photo.
Don’s campaign color has traditionally been green. Coincidence? I think not. The influence of the green car runs wide and deep.
