Warren is Scotiabank’s Chief Economist and has been with the bank since 1979. He is a popular public speaker and media commentator on economic issues in Canada and abroad. Warren travels extensively meeting with experts around the globe to keep pace with the latest economic, political and financial market developments. Before joining Scotiabank, Warren worked at the Bank of Canada and taught at several universities. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 1977.
